Signature Surgical Arts and Med Spa offers chin implants for the residents of greater Grand Rapids and Holland, Jenison or Grand Haven, Michigan and the surrounding communities.

Most people don’t realize how important their chins are to their appearance. The chin adds balance to your face and gives you an attractive profile. Although strong chins are generally associated with men, chin implants are also recommended for women who have small chins.

What Are Chin Implants?

Chin implants, also known as chin augmentation or genioplasty, build up a weak chin or balance other facial features, such as a prominent nose.

Chin Implants Procedure

Chin implants come in several sizes and shapes, and Dr. Stubbs chooses a chin implant that is appropriate for your bone structure and cosmetic goals. The incision is made along your jawline or inside your lower lip so that the scar is not visible after you heal. The chin implant is then placed, and Dr. Stubbs closes the incision. The procedure takes about 30 to 45 minutes.

Candidates for Chin Implants

Deciding if chin implants are right for you should be based on the recommendations of an experienced plastic surgeon. The best way to find out if you are a good candidate for chin implants at Signature Surgical Arts and Med Spa is to schedule a consultation appointment by calling our office at 616-396-1433.

Benefits of Chin Implants

Fillers can be used to enhance your chin, but these are temporary solutions. Chin implants give you long-term results and can be combined with other procedures, such as rhinoplasty. Enhancing your chin improves the shape of your entire face and helps you feel more confident about your appearance.

What Is the Recovery Process for Chin Implants?

After a chin implant, you will be required to wear a protective covering for two to four days. You will experience some bruising and swelling around your chin and neck and a relatively small amount of discomfort. Some numbness, soreness, and tenderness may last as long as three months. You will have some difficulty smiling and talking, but this should subside within a few days.

Most of our chin augmentation patients resume their normal activities after a few days. But you should avoid contact sports or any kind of facial impact for three to four weeks.

How Much Does a Chin Implant Cost in Greater Grand Rapids?

Signature Surgical Arts and Med Spa works with CareCredit® to offer you convenient financing options for your facial surgery, body contouring, and medical spa procedures. You may be approved in as little as one hour. We also accept most major credit cards.
